Meet the founder
Come practice with Michelle.
Michelle founded Bella Yoga after yoga helped her navigate rheumatoid arthritis, rebuild her strength, and discover a calling to serve students through movement, breath, and encouragement.
Her story
From a healing practice to a community studio.
In 2001, after an early rheumatoid arthritis diagnosis, Michelle turned to yoga seeking a path beyond medication. It eased her pain and rebuilt her strength — she has now been off arthritis medication for over thirteen years.
Since opening Bella Yoga, she has grown a warm studio rooted in clear instruction, faith-forward care, and steady community service — and the belief that every student deserves to feel seen.
Our talent is a gift from God to us; what we do with it is our gift back to God.
Teaching style
What students can expect.
Michelle's classes are structured enough to feel clear, and warm enough to feel human.
Clear guidance
Alignment explained in everyday language, so you always know what to do and why it matters.
Encouraging pace
Room for beginners, modifications, breath, questions, and steady, unhurried progress.
Community care
Practice paired with real service — meals for neighbors, a family adopted each Christmas, free kids' workshops — and a studio that welcomes everyone.
